Lauren & Lola are a Boston mother daughter team with with over 30 years of combined experience in fashion, marketing and making women and children look and feel great.
Lauren’s 10-year career in advertising, marketing consumer products to moms, coupled with her entry into motherhood give her unique perspective into what hip moms want today. She recognizes that the baby marketplace is a crowded one and navigating beyond the local baby superstore necessities is no easy task. She understands that there is a whole world of baby gear that goes way beyond the traditional pink and blue of her parent’s generation. However, it is difficult to know what is irresistibly fabulous yet thoroughly impractical and sensibly convenient yet lacking in allure without relying on the trusted advice of other moms. She launched Lauren & Lola with the objective of providing moms with her own mommy must-haves.
Lauren’s mom, Arline (also known as Lola by her grandchildren), has always been a style icon. She began her career in fashion as a fashion coordinator which led to the opportunity of owning her own modeling agency (Sybil). When her models became more like her children than her own, she left them behind and decided to do something that would keep her closer to home. But soon her love of fashion beckoned and she returned to her career in fashion hosting trunk shows featuring edgy women’s clothing and accessories. When she and many of her customers became grandmothers, she began carrying some children’s gift lines and was amazed when they became some of her bestsellers.
